Club Group Runs in the Fall
Beginning Thursday November 13, the Clifton Group Run will meet at 5:15 PM at the Clifton Recreation Center and the run will be about 30 minutes. Times for the other group runs will remain the same. All are welcome to attend. If one is near where you live, or work, come out and run the city with us.
Thursday - 5:15 PM Run(Note change in time) - Clifton Recreation Center - meet between the Center and Clifton Cultural Arts Center(formerly the Clifton School)
Saturday - 9:00 AM Run - Delhi Park - meet by the basketball courts.
The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati now has a blog. The blog features recaps of local running events like races, group runs, and fun runs in the Cincinnati area, a poll questions, reader comments and the opportunity for more shameless promotion of club events. Visit the Blog.
Volunteers Wanted
Currently, we have several openings for keeping the club running on an ongoing basis: Merchandise Coordinator, Newsletter Editor, Social/Hospitality, Volunteer Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, and Membership/Database manager. Most positions take 1-2 hours a week of your time. If you can or would like to fulfil one of these positions, please send an email to cincinnatirunning@gmail.com or attend the next board meeting.
Change in Leadership
Recently, Mike Moyer stepped down as Club President after 6 years. As a result, Todd Hofacre has agreed to serve as Club President for the immediate future. Todd has been a member of the club since 1996 and a member of the board since 2002. During that time, he was part of the membership team helping with retention and managed the club’s database. He has been involved in most club activities either as a participant or a volunteer from handing out water at the Flying Pig to assisting with the finish at several club races and having a good idea or two. If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or want to wish Todd good luck in his new position, please send them to cincinnatirunning@gmail.com and he will try to address them as quickly as he can.
