Fernbank Park
has a 1.2 mile recently renovated bike/walk blacktop path. It's has a couple very mild rises. This is a good park for beginning runners. It basically runs along the river giving a nice view and a nice breeze. On days when I want a medium length easy run I will start my run on Gracely Avenue and Huey avenues and run west on Gracely until it ends at River Road. Cross River Road and you're close to the beginning of Fernbank's trail. It's 2.2 miles to the start of the bike path. so a couple of times around the track and back to your starting point is almost 6 miles. The run through Saylor Park showcases some of the beautiful homes of this small community. Beware when crossing River Road though. The speed limit is 50 miles per hour! People often drive faster as well. Also you must cross train tracks one time.

Little Miami Bike Trail
I was in Mason Ohio last week for three days staying at the Kings Island resort and conference center and found the Little Miami/ Loveland trail. I ran it three days, 8 mile runs (4 out and back) so covered app 12 miles of the trail. It was awesome. What a great trail to run or bike. I wish I lived closer, as I would be on the trail every day.

Winton Woods
Nice run around the lake
Visiting from out of town I searched for running routes on the site.
I would call out that people should travel towards winton road to find the path around the lake. I followed the directions to 1515 w sharon and stopped
short of finding the path until after my run. |
